why don't you do right

Get out of here, give me some money too! Jessica Rabbit is hitting the town tonight. Happy Halloween you sexy people!

an essential female item

My eyes stumbled upon this incredible Girl's Guidebook while I was waiting for my # to be up @ the fabric store cutting table. Once I opened it, I knew I had to have it! A flood of memories rushed to the surface of my skin & I knew I had uncovered the next female essential:

It covers everything from making daisy chains & ivy crowns to spy lingo, club house & fort construction, and whistling with 2 fingers. It also includes very valuable information on important women throughout history, finance: interest, stocks & bonds, foreign languages, AND scientific creations such as the lemon-powered clock!

Definitely a must-read for every girl with an independent spirit & a nose for trouble.

get shanked

My jewelry line, ChaotiX, is coming out soon. But here's a sneak preview of my first piece of treasure. I've only got 5 pair of these bad girls - and I have a feeling they're gonna go quick! Don't be too intimidated by these little 1 & a half inchers, they're super light and the blade is dull. Just don't wear them into the airport, eh?

I shot her, bang bang.

"Bohemian Goddess"

"Whip Country"

"Harajuku"

"Late Romance"

We spent 5 hours on this shoot, 2-3 cocktails, & 1 battery recharge. My little suitcase full of tricks packed a punch this time!

raging

Last night is going down in the history books! My girlie friends came out looking hot (as always) and we showed Hard Rock who parties like the Sex Pistols. My best friend since high school, Miss DJ Ayla Simone, was working the turntables @ Club 207 in the Hard Rock Hotel - throwing down sets nobody could stand still to & the crowd was rowdy & boisterous, just how I like 'em! Yay for Friday nights, BFF's rockstar boyfriend, tequila, and fabulous females!!

definition of anti-fashion

Okay. So some of you are probably asking yourselves "what the hell is an anti-fashion fashion designer doing designing fashion?!"

No, I'm not AGAINST looking fashionable. However, I don't agree with the whole "everybody fits into a certain style tribe and conforms to their chosen 'uniform'". I think there are some people who just. like. fashion.

Whether it be the shredded-to-hell denim with black biker boots wrapped with chains one day, a flouncy floral chiffon spaghetti strap topped & rayon-bottomed shortsuit w/white peep toe booties & fringed bag on Tuesday, a pair of regular boot cut jeans & a tye-dye V-neck & baseball cap on Saturday, and a swimsuit, beach hair and crocheted cover-up on Sunday. I. JUST. LOVE. FASHION!

Clothes and jewelry come in so many different styles that all say very different things! I just try them all out. Not everybody conforms to a "cohesive practical collection of ready-to-wear" either. And I sure as hell won't for my first clothing line! Mine is going to be eclectic, unpredictable, and definitely not something that will fade like a trend in time.

I get it though. A large majority of people do only stay on their comfort level of dressing, thus making target markets a very valuable piece of profitable information especially for mass-producing clothing labels aimed at mass consumer targets. I think my market is a bit smaller than "the department store junkie" though, and yet is as wide as the world. I like multi-cultural statement pieces, disco bunny attire, bar-hopping biker chic grunge, incredibly cute & comfortable loungewear, piano bar temptress glamour, sun-bleached sand babe garb, metropolis girl extraordinaire/working mistress attire, down home country-gal spirit, high society madame regalia, and everything that falls in between.

Anti-fashion to me means I despise the predictability from season to season. I scoff at the boring, hideous fads that disguise themselves as trends. And I absolutely do not want to be a part of the nose-raising hot heads who think that fashion is LIFE. Because, actually, there's a lot more to it than just that.

obnoxious aesthetics

I'm feeling it. People had to put on their shades when I walked in. These shoes are the greatest addition to any outfit! Definitely up there on my "thank god I cruised ebay" list. The bag is a cheap find. As for the incredible checkered stockings: click here to create your own custom hosiery!

October's not over yet! If you want to cop some pink strands head into A Style Concierge downtown San Diego & let Michael Lee & his stylist team hook you up. They've got some serious new threads in their boutique as well, featuring a few local fashion designers' work. You'll come out guaranteed looking bomb.com!

homegurl up in Kanye's short film

Yeppp, that's Xela! She's studying fashion design w/me @ my school. All I'm wondering is why does Kanye have to be so soused and all up in her face w/his hands? Girl's super talented! Check the link:

we all ♥ BOOBIES

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! And I've been trying to rock pink on a daily basis. Mostly, it's been pink wigs or extensions - to really get my point across. So far, been getting great feedback. Ah, I love charity! Rock the PINK!

feeling catty

Recently I've been feeling crazy. Yeah yeah the good kind. Someone even told me the other night that my outfit confused them - that's what I was going for... I always love walking into a room full of people who are wearing the typical attire and immediately they look @ me and give me a look that tells me they're wondering how I came up with my ensemble. Well people, here's my answer: sometimes I get dressed in the dark (which is my most recent excuse since my electricity has been malfunctioning for a few weeks), and other times I pile on random articles of clothing just hoping to strike a new look.
